Few days after a strategic meeting with Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Engr. Adigun Ibrahim, MNSE, on Wednesday led a delegation of state executives on a courtesy visit to Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, the General Manager of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), at the Five Cowries Terminal in Ikoyi.
Adigun, in his remarks, appreciated Emmanuel for upholding the state governor’s open-door policy by meeting with the youth group on a short notice as he presented his administration’s notable achievements since inception to the agency boss.
He went on to laud Emmanuel’s outstanding efforts in ensuring safe and efficient water transportation in Lagos State.
Adigun impressed it on his host the importance of youth involvement in promoting safe water transportation, enhancing security measures, and supporting the continuous development of Lagos State’s waterways and by extension Governor Sanwo-olu’s THEMES+ Agenda adding that the youth group is ready to partner with the authority to explore initiatives that will enhance water transportation and create sustainable employment opportunities for youths.
An obviously impressed Emmanuel pledged to collaborate with the NYCN Lagos on developmental initiatives.
