Barely four days after presenting the 2025 budget to the Victor Oko-Jumbo four-member assembly, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has signed the ₦1.88 trillion 2025 appropriation bill into law.

The Governor, at the signing ceremony in Government House, Port Harcourt, on Thursday, said the only authentic House of Assembly in the state is the one led by Victor Oko-Jumbo.

The Governor maintained that budgets are usually presented to legal legislative members and not mere groups.

“We have one assembly and that assembly is headed by Honourable Victor Oko-Jumbo. As far as I’m concerned, we have moved on,” he said.

He assured that the 2025 Appropriation Bill will bring about a new dawn, transformation and growth in the state.
