The Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to market infrastructural development at the Annual Thanksgiving Programme of the Market Men and Women Association.

Organized by the Iyaloja, Chief Mrs. Folashade Salako, the event united traders, market leaders and council officials in celebration of progress and communal growth.

At the colorful event, Odunmbaku praised Hon. James Faleke, Member of the House of Representatives, for spearheading the ongoing reconstruction of Yakoyo Market, a project the federal lawmaker initiated 25 years ago. The Chairman also highlighted his administration’s upgrades including improved roads (Paul Avenue) and public toilets at Yakoyo Market.

He announced the Council’s plan to redevelop Eweobaja, Sunday (Abibatu Mogaji), Odo Eran Plank and Okeira markets while exploring suitable land for Akiode Market. Additionally, he revealed increased allocation of funds in the upcoming second phase of the council’s interest-free loan scheme for traders.

The Market association leaders commended the Odunmbaku administration’s dedication to economic empowerment and sustainable development.
