•To Be Buried Monday, Family Announces

Acclaimed socialite, renowned businesswoman, industrial icon, community leader and philanthropist par excellence, Princess Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), globally known as Cash Madam has died at the age of 89.

All worthy musicians of her generation and even current popular ones sang her praises. She actually bestrode the nation’s entertainment scene like a colossus she truly was during her illustrious life time for more than six decades.

According to her family, Cash Madam breathed her last on Sunday announcing that her burial Fidau will hold this afternoon at her Abeokuta GRA residence.

The statement by the family reads:

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un

With deep gratitude to Allah for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Princess Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), who returned to her Creator on 5th January 2025 at the age of 89.
Her life was a shining example of grace, dignity, and unwavering faith. Princess Edionseri touched the lives of many through her wisdom, kindness, and dedication to both her family and her community. She taught us the importance of love, resilience, and faith in Allah, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.

As we grieve this monumental loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life she lived. Her laughter, warmth, and the values she instilled will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us as we navigate life without her physical presence.”

Commiserating with the family, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola OFR, described her as a forthright, tenacious, loving, generous and devoted Muslim.

He prayed to Allah to grant her Aljanat firdaus.

Princess Khadijat Adebisi Edionseri a.k.a. Cash Madam – Iya Suna Egba, Iya Suna Yewaland, Iya Suna Ogun State at the installation of Muslim Chiefs in Ayetoro on Sunday 29th December, 2024. What a way of bidding a farewell to the Muslim community in Ogun State.

“She died on 5th January 2025, a week afterwards. A forthright, tenacious, loving, generous, and devoted Muslim. May Allah grant her aljanat firdaus and give us the fortitude to bear the loss,” the condolence read.
