The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn into Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The three-time African champions will face a rough path to glory as they hope to add a fourth AFCON title to their trophy cabinet. Having put up an Impressive show the last time out, Nigeria missed out on winning the continental cup by losing to Côte d’Ivoire in the final.
The draw, conducted on Monday, revealed a competitive field for the tournament. Host nation Morocco will headline Group A, while defending champions Côte d’Ivoire are in Group F.
Tunisia, a srrong force in African football, will be a hard nut for the super eagles to crack. Uganda and Tanzania, though potential underdogs, bring an unpredictable element to the group and will pose their unique challenges.
Nigeria boasts a rich history in the AFCON, having previously lifted the trophy in 1980, 1994, and 2013.
