Living up to the responsibility of his office, the Director General of Lagos Youth Development Institute (LYDI), Comrade Jamiu Ademosu has charted the institute’s framework and implementation strategies.

The development was achieved when the institute held its inaugural Working and Technical Committee meeting at Suru Express Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.

The meeting was held on Sunday, November 17.

The meeting also focused on identifying key stakeholders and potential partners for further engagement, marking a critical step in setting the foundation for LYDI’s mission.

As the first of its kind in Nigeria, LYDI aimed to equip young people in Lagos State for leadership roles, professional development, and active civic and legislative participation. Its mission is rooted in addressing the leadership gap by nurturing a new generation of competent and community-driven individuals.

The committee, headed by Comr. Ademosu, comprises representatives from the Lagos state Ministry of Youths and Social Development , alongside members of the Working and Technical Committees.

These members, under oath and appointment respectively, bring diverse expertise to advance the institute’s objectives. Their operations are guided by the provisions of the amended 2018 NYCN Constitution, ensuring accountability and effectiveness.

With a clear vision and collaborative approach, LYDI is poised to make a transformative impact on youth development in Lagos State. The institute remains committed to fostering growth, engagement, and opportunities for young leaders.
