In a show of continued support for inter-agency collaboration, the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, warmly received the new Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, in an official meeting held on Tuesday at the council’s secretariat.

During the meeting, Odunmbaku highlighted the essential role that collaboration between government bodies is effectively playing in forging development across Ojodu LCDA.

He emphasized the achievements of his administration, underscoring successful partnerships with agencies such as the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) to improve road infrastructure and with security agencies, which the Council provided with patrol vehicles and palliatives to enhance public safety.

Hon. Odunmbaku reiterated his commitment to forging alliances that directly impact the lives of residents, citing that the combined efforts have bolstered security, improved road conditions and strengthened public service delivery within the LCDA. “It is through a unified approach,” he stated, “that we can effectively address our community’s needs and promote sustainable development.”

Corps Commander Hamzat who presented the Mayor with a plaque expressed gratitude to the Chairman for his open-door policy and his support for collaborative efforts between government agencies. He further sought the council’s backing in driving stakeholder engagement across Ojodu LCDA, particularly on road safety awareness during the busy “ember months” — a period traditionally marked by increased road activity and heightened accident risks while noting that promoting safe driving and transportation is crucial for safeguarding lives and enhancing quality of life.
