Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has showered encomium on former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire on her 65th birthday.
Obasa, in a flowery prose on his Facebook page described Orelope-Adefulire as a shining star lauding her lasting legacies as tue former deputy governor and her continued impact as the Senior Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He wrote: “Happy 65th birthday to a shining star, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire. Your legacy as former Deputy Governor of Lagos State continues to make us proud, and your current role as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has further cemented your impact on Nigeria’s growth.
“Your strategic intervention programs in education, women empowerment, and economic development have brought positive change across the country. Through your office, countless lives have been touched, from the creation of skills acquisition centers to support for children and women.
“As Deputy Governor, your co-sponsorship of the Child Rights Law and Domestic Violence Law in Lagos State (2007), as well as the establishment of 22 skills acquisition centers, remain shining examples of your commitment to a better Nigeria. The 176-bed transit home for victims of domestic violence also stands as a testament to your passion.
“I join your family, friends, and associates in celebrating you today. On behalf of my family and colleagues, I wish you continued strength, good health, and divine wisdom to keep playing your vital role in Nigeria’s progress.”
