The lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, has announced plans to organise an outreach for women across the senatorial district.
Theliberationnews gathered that the outreach is scheduled to take place next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at separate locations across the 28 LGAs and LCDAs in the senatorial district.
The event, titled “Advance Women’s Participation and Representation,” is being organized in conjunction with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women).
It aims to address issues affecting women’s active participation in politics and representation.
The program will kick off with residents in Badagry Division on Tuesday, 17th September, at Students’ Arcade, Lagos State University (LASU), followed by Alimosho/Isolo Division, which will be held at the Secretariat of Mosan/Okunola LCDA.
For women constituents within the Ikeja axis, the event will take place at the lawmaker’s senatorial office on Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja GRA, at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
