President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday night, described his mild fall at the Eagle Square in Abuja, during the Democracy Day parade as a prostration for democracy.
The president while addressing the distinguished guests during the State Banquet Dinner at the Presidential Villa attributed the misstep to his rich Yoruba heritage.
Theliberationnews reported that President Tinubu slipped while boarding the presidential parade vehicle.
He approached the parade vehicle shortly after he arrived at the venue but lost his balance momentarily as he was about to step into it.
The President, immediately, regained his balance and continued with the proceedings with the help of his security aides.
Speaking at the dinner, Tinubu laughed and attributed the misstep to his Yoruba heritage.
Jokingly, he referred to his Yoruba cultural roots: “I did my ‘Dobale’ this morning as a Yoruba man for Democracy Day”.
