The Chief Financial Officer of MTN Nigeria, Mr. Modupe Kadiri, along with other distinguished achievers, inspired secondary school students at a Teen Career Hangout organized in Lagos.

The program, titled “Teen Career Hangout,” featured a presentation by the Executive Director of Retail Banking at WEMA Bank, Mr. Tunde Mabawonku.

The event was organized by Teenage Triangle, an educational-hub based in Lagos with the aim of guiding teenagers towards responsible adulthood through early mentorship and empowerment.

The two-day event, held at HMV Place on Fasakin Crescent, Anthony Village, Lagos, between June 8th and 9th, 2024, was themed: “Ultimate Toolkit for All-Round Excellence.”

It drew participation from various secondary schools in Lagos who actively engaged in enlightening session, mentoring sessions, self-defense training, games, and film screenings, among other exciting activities.

Other speakers at the event included Mrs. Ajibola Babalola from S.M.I.L.E, Mr. Abubakr Abubakr, and Ms. Balqees Bello. They emphasized the importance of mentorship, emotional intelligence, self-discipline, and time management. Additionally, Mr. Ibrahim Temitope Akinremi, a visually impaired practicing lawyer, inspired participants with his motivational message on overcoming challenges.

Mr. Mustopha Najmudeen, Team Lead of Teenage Triangle, expressed delight at the program’s success and the positive feedback received. He encouraged ongoing mentorship and support, urging participants to stay connected with their mentors for guidance on their journey of self-discovery.

He also extended his appreciation to the Strategy for Mentoring Initiative and Leadership Empowerment (S.M.I.L.E), HMV PLACE, Academic Excellence Initiative, The Reaching Out to Teenagers, and other prominent individuals who sponsored the life-changing event.
