The Speaker of Lagos State house of assembly, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has lost his father, Alhaji Sulaiman Obasa.
Theliberationnews authoritatively reports that Pa Obasa died in the early hours of Tuesday.
Confirming the death of the patriarch, the General Secretary of Agege LCDA, Fatai Olagoke Ajibola, in a press statment made available to Theliberationnews announced that the deceased will be buried by 4pm today in accordance with Islamic rites.
He condoled the Lagos Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and the entire Obasa family over the irreparable loss.
“This is to announce the death of Alhaji Sulaiman Obasa, the father of Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
“He died this morning and will be buried in line with Islamic injunctions by 4pm in the evening.
“The venue of the Janazah prayer will be communicated in due course.
“May his soul rest peacefully in the finest part of Aljanah Firdaous whilst using this medium to condole with our leader and mentor, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa on the death of his father,” the statement read.
