Tragedy struck on Sunday as the Chairman of Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA, Lagos State, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo lost his wife, Mrs Sijuade Amoke Anomo to the cold hands of death.
The news of her passage was confirmed in a press statement issued by the chief press secretary to the council chairman, Areh AbdulHamid and made available to Theliberationnews.
While the cause of her death was not revealed, AbdulHamid confirmed that she passed the rubicon on Sunday evening.
“With deep sorrow, pain, and grief, and in total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Sijuade Akanke Anomo, beloved wife of Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. She answered the call to glory earlier this evening,” the statement read in part.
While praying for the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, AbdulHamid said that details about the funeral ceremony will be announced later.
“Her departure is a profound loss to her family, friends, and the entire community. We pray that Allah grants her Al-Jannah Firdaus and provides her us all the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
“Further details regarding the funeral arrangements will be announced in due course,” he said.
