Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi, popularly known as Ogunjimi, has passed away.
His death was made known by fellow thespian, Kunle Afod, in an Instagram post on Friday.
“We tried our best, but God loves you more,” actor Kunle Afod wrote in an Instagram post.
“May his soul rest in peace. Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo,” he prayed as he mourned the passage of the last actor.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of his death was still sketchy. It will be recalled that, a viral TikTok video was shared on July 3, 2022, shared by one Princess Oloko, showing the deceased narrating his battle with stroke and paralysis.
“There was a time I had a stroke, and my limbs were paralysed; at that point, I thought I would never be successful,” said the late actor.
“There was also another time I had an accident and suffered internal injuries. However, God continued to uplift me,” he said in Yoruba.
