Lagos State Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Honorable Mobolaji Ogunlende has urged youths across the state to leverage technological opportunities to achieve innovations.

Ogunlende gave the charge on Saturday at the IT Workshop put together by Tranter IT in partnership with ManageEngine at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, VI, Lagos.

The event themed, “Empowering Government Excellence through Digital Transformation” aimed to provide valuable insight into leveraging digital technologies to improve efficiency, transparency, and overall excellence in governmental operations.

Speaking with Theliberationnews on the sideline, Ogunlende who was represented by the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local branch, Engr Adigun Ibrahim described Lagos state as a pacesetter in leveraging technology to achieve distinction in governmental operation across all sectors citing the digitalization of the state’s activities.

He emphasized the transformative power of technology in fostering innovation and economic growth adding that the state government has remained deliberate about exploring the possibilities of technologies.

He went on the stress the importance of youths embracing technological advancements as a means to unlock their potential and contribute meaningfully to the continuous development of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

Ogunlende highlighted the need for continuous learning and skills development in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, citing them as crucial tools for driving innovation and entrepreneurship.

He commended Tranter IT and ManageEngine for their initiative in organizing the IT Workshop, stating that such collaborative efforts are essential for building a vibrant tech ecosystem, empowering youths to thrive in the digital age, and ensuring that government ministries, departments, and agencies perform optimally by leveraging technology.
