It was an epochal moment on Friday as Dr. Dayo Mobereola assumed his new position as the
Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
The baton was transferred to him by the Acting Director General and Executive Director of Finance & Administration of the agency, Mr. Chudi Offodile.
The transfer of baton was consequent upon Mobereola’s appointment, last week, by President Bola Tinubu to oversee the affairs of the agency.
At the handover ceremony held at the Agency’s Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, the new kid on the block pledged to build a purpose-driven organisation, while also prioritising effective communication at all levels to enhance innovation, collaboration and synergy.
He assured that the agency, under his leadership, would prioritise safety, security, efficiency, and environmental sustainability amongst others.
