Geremi Njitap has reportedly sent his wife packing after allegedly finding out he is not the father of her twins during their 12 years of marriage.
The former Cameroonian footballer, Geremi Njitap, known for his stellar career with Chelsea, has made the headlines, this time for some shocking details about his personal life.
The 45-year-old former Real Madrid Blues star right back has sparked controversy over his recent divorce filing against his wife of 12 years, Toukam Fotso Laure Verline.
The couple’s union, once seen as a symbol of love and stability, has reportedly crumbled under the weight of startling revelations that have sent shockwaves through the Cameroonian media landscape.
In a bombshell revelation detailed in court documents obtained exclusively and released by Cameroon News Agency but reported by Mimimemofo Infos, Njitap alleges disturbing series of events that led to the demise of his marriage to Toukam Fotso Laurie Verline, daughter of late Cameroonian billionaire, Fotso Victor.
Among the most shocking claims is Njitap’s assertion that the twins the couple welcomed in 2008 are not biologically his, as erroneously believed.
Instead, Geremi alleges that a DNA test revealed that the twins are the offspring of his wife’s previous partner. This revelation has stunned fans and followers alike.
Njitap had obviously been living a lie for the past 12 years. According to court documents obtained by aforementioned outlet, Toukam Fotso Laure has been allegedly deceitful of the real paternity of their twin children.
A DNA test reportedly proved Geremi Njitap is not the biological father of his wife’s twins. The twins were born on June 5, 2008, four years before their marriage when Toukam presented the twins as his own thereby allegedly misleading Njitap into believing they were his biological offspring.
Also in the documents obtained from aforementioned outlet, Njitap paints a picture of marital discord, citing his wife’s alleged rejection of sexual intimacy as being a major point of contention in their relationship.
Furthermore, the former Indomitable Lion star alleges verbal mistreatment at the hands of his spouse, claiming that he has been subjected to insults and derogatory language in front of their children.
The explosive allegations in the divorce papers have left members of the public astounded. During his playing days, Geremi Njitap was known for his versatility, being able to to play at right back, right midfield or defensive midfielder.
The former Cameroon midfielder was also known for his power, pace, combative style and free-kick ability.
The most successful periods of Geremi’s club career came at Real Madrid and Chelsea, winning the UEFA Champions League with the former and domestic honours with the latter.
Njitap also played for Newcastle United and Turkish club, Gençlerbirliği before his retirement from football in January 2011.
He was a member of the Cameroonian squad for a record seven Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning gold medals in 2000 and 2002, as well as playing in 2002 and 2010 World Cup including winning a gold medal in football at the 2000 Olympics.
