The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd has told Nigerians to disregard reports of immimete increment in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

The assurance was contained in a press statement issued by the Petroleum body’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, on Thursday.

NNPC Ltd. described the reports as unfounded assuring Nigerians that there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.

Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.
