Political leaders and stalwarts of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from Mushin LGA and Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Lagos, on Monday paid a congratulatory visit to the newly appointed Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu.
Theliberationnews reported that Fatodu was appointed by the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu last Friday to head the sports body.
Fatodu is a Nigerian journalist, public relations expert and development practitioner who, prior to his latest appointment, served as the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu during in his first tenure.
Leading the party leaders from Mushin LGA and Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA to pay homage to the new sports boss were the revered grassroots mobilizer and politician Iya Luku, the Senior Special Assistant to the state governor on Transport, Hon Toyin Aremu and the Permanent Board Member, LASUBEB, Hon. Owolabi Falana as well as APC Chairman, Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Babatunde Ismail Kazeem (Tunkaz).
The visiting party stalwarts expressed their warm felicitations to Fatodu as they prayed for his success at the saddle.
Appreciating their gesture, Fatodu commended the dignitaries for identifying with him assuring them of his sincere commitment to justify the confidence reposed in him by Mr. Governor and also, their belief in my capacity.
Other visiting dignitaries included the councillors from Mushin LGA and Odi-Olowo LCDA led by their leaders as well as the Supervisors from the two councils.
