Residents and road users in Isolo have expressed their appreciation to the Chairman of the Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Olasoju Adebayo, following the successful completion of Aremu Street, off Alli Dada, Street in Ago axis of the council area.
The newly constructed street has brought relief to the community, addressing longstanding concerns about infrastructure and enhancing connectivity.
The chairman’s efforts were hailed by residents who have long awaited the upgrade of Aremu Street. The completion of the project signifies a significant milestone in the council’s commitment to improving the quality of life for its residents.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Mrs. Sade Ojo, a resident of Aremu Street, expressed her gratitude, stating, “We are extremely pleased with the transformation of Aremu Street. The road was in a deplorable condition for years, causing inconvenience and posing risks to both motorists and pedestrians. The chairman’s dedication to seeing this project through is commendable, and we are thankful for the gesture.”
Road users, including commuters and businesses operating along Aremu Street, also commended the efforts of the council mayor. Mr. Tunde Fasakin, a motorist, remarked, “The completion of Aremu Street has made a significant difference in our daily commuting. Previously, navigating this road was a nightmare, but now, it has been Interlocked and made motorable. We appreciate the council boss for prioritizing infrastructural development.”
The construction of Aremu Street involved the laying of HPV-manufactured paving stones and upgrade of drainage systems, enhancing safety and accessibility for residents and road users alike.
