President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate suspension and investigation of Ms Halima Shehu, as the National Coordinator and CEO of the National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA).
Her suspension is coming barely three other after the Senate confirmed her appointment and it was hinged on allegations of financial misappropriation levelled against her.
Pending the conclusion of the investigation, Dr Akindele Egbuwalo, the National N-POWER Program Manager has been asked to head the agency.
Prior to her appointment, she worked as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme.
She also served with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. That was between 2017 and 2022.
