The Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Kunle Oluomo, has been impeached.
He was impeached during Tuesday’s plenary session by 18 out of the 26 members of the State Assembly.
Oluomo who represents Ifo 1 state constituency was impeached on charges of embezzlement, haughtiness, and other offenses.
The Assembly immediately elected a member, Oludaisi Elemide, as the new Speaker.
