Argentine and Inter Miami forward, Lionel Messi has said that he looks forward to facing his arc rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, in the Riyadh Cup set to take place in February.

The Riyadh Season Cup will be held from Monday, January 29 to Friday, February 8 at the brand-new Kingdom Arena.

The fixture, which has been dubbed ‘The Last Dance’, could represent the last meeting between the duo, who have met 35 times in their career, with Messi claiming 16 wins against 10 by Ronaldo, with nine draws in fixtures mostly in Spain and in the Champions League.

Both Messi and Ronaldo scored in a friendly last October between PSG and the Saudi All-Stars, with the former recording a 5-4 win. This was shortly before Messi’s move to America.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Messi wrote: “I can’t wait to be part of #RiyadhSeasonCup with my team Inter Miami CF, as we face top Saudi clubs in a historic championship.”

The game will serve as a preseason tournament for Inter Miami, with the new regular MLS season holding between February 21 and October 19, while the playoffs, October and December.
