Foremost Trade Unionist and one-time General Secretary of NUPENG, Chief Frank Kokori has died.
It was gathered that Kokori died in the early hours of Thursday, 7th December after a long battle with kidney ailment.
His death coincides with his 80th birth anniversary.
Kokori was one of the vibrant individuals who led the fight for the revalidation of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.
His passage octogenarian was made public at about 2:30 am by his personal assistant, Atawada Barry Oke.
One explained that the former labour leader’s health relapsed on Monday as he was unable to interact with people around him while he was placed on life support.
Kokori’s death came barely one month after he cried out from his hospital bed on Thursday, November 9, 2023, that he had been neglected and abandoned to die in spite of his huge contribution to the democratic growth of the country.
