Theliberationnews reports that plans have been perfected by the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba (Dr) Adedotun Gbadebo, Okukenu IV and other revered traditional rulers in the ancient Egba city, including the Osile of Oke-Ona, HRM, Oba (Dr) Dapo Tejuoso, the Olowu of Owu, HRM, Oba (Professor) Saka Matemilola, and very prominent Egba chiefs, sons and daughters; and even distinguished and notable personalities from outside Egbaland, to organise a grand homecoming for the immediate past Nigeria High Commissioner to United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, OFR.
This was contained in a press statement made available by the Chairman, Reception Planning Committee, Chief Joju Fadairo, to this newspaper.
According to Fadairo, the reception will be held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Marquee, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
He also added that the event is strictly by invitation.
Recall, Ambassador Isola, a one-time Secretary to the Ogun State Government, SSG, during Otunba Gbenga Daniel’s administration and later Minister of Steel returned home in October after his meritorious two years service as Nigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
The grand reception for Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States is being organized by Committee of Friends.
