After two days of walkout, the Joint National Executive Council, NEC, meeting of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, have suspended the strike as it directed its members to resume work.
The union bodies have embarked on the strike to protest the alleged assault of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, among other pending issues.
Theliberationnews authoritatively reports that the strike was suspended after the intervention of the Federal Government through the Office of the National Security Adviser, NSA.
Recall, Theliberationnews reported that the NSA, on Wednesday, confirmed the arrest of the attackers of the NLC President adding that they will soon be prosecuted.
