The Vice Chairman (West) of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos State chapter, Comrade Jamiu Ademosu better known as Emjay has described the Senator representing the district in the Senate, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule as a strong supporter of youths’ cause hence, the reason for decorating her as the grand patroness of the youth body.
Adebule was one of the prominent politicians who stole the show at the recently-held award ceremony tagged ‘The Plaudit’ put together by the youth body at the top-rated Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, on Sunday.
According to Ademosu, the ceremony was organised to celebrate the brilliance and ingenuity of illustrious individuals in the senatorial district noting that Adebule, with her admirable record in politics and youth development, deserves to be celebrated.
Ademosu reiterated that Lagos West senatorial district is blessed to have Adebule as her representative at the Red Chamber owing to how she has brought her political brilliance as well as moral and ethical excellence to bear on the activity of the Red Chamber.
“It was a great honour to formally decorate Dr. Idiat Adebule as our grand patroness. Mama has proven to be a great mother and a strong supporter of youth and that has made us feel obligated to decorate her with one of the grand honours in the organization.”
He recalled how Adebule provided support for youths in the senatorial district as he expressed his optimism that the Chairman, Senate Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will not rest on her oars.
“You will recall Mama West’s recognition and celebration of the LASU’s best graduating student, Aminat Yusuf whom she encouraged with a million naira, to mention but a few. Mama has been of immense support to the youth body and we can not but celebrate her.”
Ademosu, however, called on other politicians and well-meaning individuals in the senatorial district and beyond to take a cue from Adebule and be deliberate and selfless about youth development.
Adebule who was represented by the Former Special Adviser to ex-Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, Mrs. Aramide Giwanson, appreciated the youths body for the honour as she promised her continued commitment to their cause.
