“The Plaudit is a celebration of excellence. It’s a celebration of ingenuity. It’s a celebration of brilliance, it’s a celebration of achievement. This is what we’ve come here to do today, to celebrate illustrious individuals in activism, business, politics and all. The reason for this is not far-fetched, it’s our way of encouraging excellence and ultimately ensuring that the world becomes a better place. We are also celebrating past and present leaders of this prestigious organisation today for their selfless and sincere contribution to youth development. It’s a thing of joy to be celebrated during one’s lifetime and that is also what we’ve done today. It was intentional that we chose today for this celebration because of what it means, it’s a symbolic day in the history of our dear nation, a day when we celebrate the efforts of our national heroes – leaders of the youth councils are our heroes and they deserve to be celebrated.

“Also, we’ve just decorated the Senator representing our district in the red chamber, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule as our Grand Matron owing to her commitment to advancing youths’ cause. Before she emerged as senator and since she got the mandate, Dr. Adebule has been at the vanguard of championing youth development, inclusion and that obligated us to give her this singular honour,” Ademosu said.

He added that the youth body honoured the Lagos state commissioner for youths and social development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende based on his antecedence as an illustrious youth and commitment to promoting youth activities.
