Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Sarafa Tunji Isola, OFR, has expressed shock over the demise of Chief Sule Onabiyi, Baba Adinni of Ifo, Okanlomo of Egbaland and a noteworthy politician during his hey days. He died at 85.
Isola described late Onabiyi as a great father and an astute political leader in a condolence message sent to his family.
The astute diplomat observed that the late octogenarian was a generous community leader, a devoted Muslim, committed family man, philanthropist of repute and above all a humanist par excellence.
According to him: “Alhaji (Chief) Sule Onabiyi was Baba Adinni Ifo, Okanlomo of Egbaland. We have lost a great father. An astute political leader, a generous community leader, an adherent Muslim, a committed family man, a philanthropist, a socialite, and most importantly, a humanist.
“We will miss his wise counselling and fatherly dispositions. May Almighty Allah grant him aljanat firdaus and give the entire family the fortitude to bear his demise,” he concluded.
