The feud between Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Tambuwal has taken a new shape as the FCT minister launched a move to kick the duo out of the party.
This is as he called on the National Working Committee, NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to suspend Atiku and Tambuwal from the party.
The immediate past Rivers State governor spoke when he was featured on Channels Television programme, Politics Today on Thursday.
His reaction came in the light of the PEPT judgment that gave victory to President Bola Tinubu describing the pronunciation of the appeal court jurists as profound and laced with technical and practical assertions.
Asked if the judgment betrayed the will of the people, Wike said:
“The will of the people is determined through the ballot box. How could PDP have won the election when you consider the mood of the nation at that time?
“Look at the areas that the PDP did not win because of high-handedness, because of greed because of impunity.. If the PDP had done what they were supposed to do, then you could have talked about that.
“There should be equity, there should be justice, there should be fairness and that is why I am calling on the National Working Committee they should suspend the presidential candidate, suspend people like Aminu Tambuwal so that they can rebuild the party (PDP).”
