Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo has issued a stern warning to monarchs in the country against disrespecting constituted authorities.
The equally former military head of state gave the admonition at a gathering in Oyo State on Friday.
According to him, traditional rulers are expected to respect the president and governor on any occasion they met.
He also at the event ordered all monarchs seated to stand and sit as a sign of reverence to constituted authorities.
He explained that Yoruba tradition compels one to respect the elders and constituted authority as he suggested that no monarch is above a president or governor.
