The Lagos State Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogublende has mourned the passage of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad as he assured that justice will prevail.
Ogunlende gave this assurance via a post on his official Facebook post on Tuesday.
Thelberationnews reports that the circumstances leading to the death of the late singer have sparked outrage across the country with youths taking to the street to demand justice.
Ogunlende reiterated the state government is committed to ensuring that the late singer gets justice and everyone involved in his death is prosecuted accordingly.
The post read; “The passing of the bright star Ilerioluwa Olademeji Imole Alogba, also known as MOHBAD, at the age of 27, deeply saddens us.
“Under the leadership of our esteemed Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo, this Administration is committed to enhancing the THEMES Agenda, now referred to as “T.H.E.M.E.S+,” which signifies a stronger focus on social inclusion, gender equality, and youth empowerment.
“I want to reassure the youth of Lagos that we are diligently working with relevant authorities to represent your voices and ensure a thorough investigation.
“To this end, the Executive Governor has engaged the Department of State Services (DSS) and other agencies to collaborate and ensure a proper execution of the investigation.
“Rest assured, the individuals involved in any way in this tragic event leading to IMOLE’s passing will face legal consequences post-investigation.
“As young people, I urge you all to support the investigative process by providing any pertinent information. We also urge the investigating committee to prioritize the confidentiality and protection of all witnesses who come forward.
“Our administration is committed to creating an enabling environment that nurtures the potential of our youth to thrive both locally and globally.
“We implore every youth in Lagos, as well as friends, fans, and well-wishers of the deceased, to exercise patience, mourn peacefully, and refrain from any acts of violence.
“Let’s honor the memory of this immensely talented artist by paying tribute with peace.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and fans of MOHBAD worldwide.
