The feud between Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and his Deputy, Philip Shaibu has taken a new dip with deputy governor’s office moved to a new location.
Theliberationnews gathered that the new office is situated at no 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, close to the government house.
According to report, the new deputy governor office used to be the state Public Procurement Office commissioned by a former Governor of the state, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, on December 16, 2014.
Sources reveal a sign board with the inscription, “Office of The Deputy Governor” has been erected at the entrance to the building of Shaibu’s new office with one of the workers explaining that the new office will be fully delivered Monday.
The battle for succession has pitched the deputy governor against the state’s number one citizen.
The deputy governor, who hails from Edo North Senatorial District, has shown his intent to take over from Obaseki, an indigene of Benin in Edo South senatorial district, but the governor is pushing for a successor from Esanland in Edo Central senatorial district.
