Late Nigerian Street Hop Artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad who sadly passed away yesterday has been laid to rest in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Theliberetionnews reports that the former Marlian Record signee died aged 27.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of his death was still unknown.
It was gathered that, before his burial people refused for him to be buried as they said part while speaking in Yoruba“ Never, never. Imole cannot sleepl here. Mohbad cannot sleep here. He can never sleep here. Mohbad cannot sleep here. They cannot dig a grave here.”
Recall, Theliberationnews had earlier reported how his partner, Wunmi, wailed over the demise of the late singer as she revealed that he never had an ever had a happy day adding that he “struggled till death,” despite being famous.
His family in a statement on his official Instagram page on Tuesday night, begged for privacy at this difficult time.
The statement which confirms his death read: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Promise Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad (Imole) today, the 12th of September, 2023.
“Mohbad was Light until the very end, and as we mourn the loss of the brightness he carried, the family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
“Imole is finally at Peace.”
