With the new academic calendar kicking off soon, Builder Olusesan Daini; the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA has perfected plans to distribute educational materials to 12,000 pupils in 13 primary schools across the council area.

In a meeting held earlier this week with head teachers from 13 primary schools across Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Daini reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing a quality education system for the pupils of the community.

The council chairman emphasized the importance of putting the education sector at the forefront, believing that it would lead to socio-economic prosperity for the LCDA and the state as a whole.

He highlighted recent developments in the educational sector, including the construction of a fully equipped block of five classrooms at Local Government Primary School in Oreta, the completion of all-round perimeter fencing at Lajo Community School, and the commencement of pupils’ registration at the new Olu Odo Primary School in Olu Odo Community.

Furthermore, Builder Daini expressed the need to establish a new primary school in the Oshorun area of Ibeshe to ensure access to primary education for pupils in that locality.

The distribution of exercise books and other educational materials to all primary schools in the LCDA is set to take place next week, as the administration works diligently to harmonize and prioritize the needs of each school.

Present at the meeting was the Vice Chairman of IBLCDA, Hon Nuraini Okedina-Maja, the Council Manager, Mr Waheed Tijani, Hon Nurudeen Alimi, Leader of the IBLCDA Legislative Arm, Princess Basirat Banjoko, Deputy Leader IBLCDA Legislative Arm, Hon Akeem Solawon, Councilor Ward C2, and Hon Adekunle Anifowose, Councilor Ward C5.
