Prince Fatiu Akiolu, the newly appointed helmsman of the highly eyed Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency(LASAA) by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state is not assuming the position simply because he’s a bonafide prince of Lagos but more because of his background of professional commitment, relationship humility and corporate hardwork cum accomplishment.

The well-grounded son of reigning Kabiyesi of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu is not a corporate rookie or spoilt brat but someone who is committed to building an endurable brand for himself and the state.

Since leaving university, he has been actively involved in institutional building in his own right. He founded Regno Media (an outdoor media company) based in Lagos, the financial capital of Nigeria. The success that Regno Media has become is a consequence of Fatiu Akiolu’s dynamism and result-oriented focus as an entrepreneur with experience in sales, marketing, strategic planning, wealth/clients/projects management and ideas implementation.

The new man at the saddle in LASAA, as depicted in his company’s success, has a knack for driving growth and excellence, building team spirit coupled with his resource management abilities.

Fatiu Akiolu’s educational readiness for the task at LASAA is unassailable. He holds a BSc in Business and Finance and an MSc in International Business and Management from De Montfort University, Leicester in the United Kingdom. He is also an Associate Member of the Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (APCON).

Fatiu Akiolu has attended several management courses in reputable institutions abroad. He was in London School of Economics for its Executive Summer School in July 2005. He attended the University College London Leadership and Management Course in February 2015. He was in Warsaw, Poland for INMA/Ifra Classified Advertising and Web 2.0 Seminars in September 2007. He went for the Great British Business Show, London Seminars on Business Branding and Business Startups in 2011.

He has over 10 years of experience in out-of-home advertising. Since establishing Regno Media Limited, Akiolu has successfully stayed ahead of competition by developing innovative strategies to improve service delivery and consistency. He also sits on the board of various blue-chip companies.

Fatiu Akiolu has also built successful foreign strategic partnerships with outdoor media business partners in China and other parts of the world. He is well accustomed to the dynamics and challenges of the outdoor media sector in Lagos. Being a member of outdoor media bodies, he has been able to proffer solutions to some of these challenges. One of the articles he wrote in October 2020 in the Business Year magazine was a testament to his in-depth knowledge of the outdoor media in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.

Fatiu Akiolu equally has an intense passion for community service and Regno Media, his company, has over the years given back to community through different schemes and orphanage donations.

Fatiu Akiolu didn’t just become a company owner. He had proven corporate track records in companies including Creston Incorporated Ltd, United Kingdom where he was Design Associate Intern from September 2005 to April 2008: He returned home and served in Ibile Holdings as Marketing Executive between May to August 2008. He later joined BGL Plc where he worked as its Wealth Manager from 2008-2009. From there, he moved to Royal Marine Water Taxi Limited where he served as its Marketing and Creative Director between August 2009- February 2011.

With these rich academic and corporate learnings, it’s obvious that Prince Fatiu Akiolu is more than ready for the task ahead in LASAA.
