In a sheer acknowledgment of her capabilities and active participation in legislative activities of the 10th assembly, the senator representing Lagos West District in the red chamber, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule (PhD) has been named the chairperson House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Her appointment was announced by the senate president, Godswill Akpabio on the floor of the red chamber on Monday.

Adebule, a former Secretary to the State Governor and Deputy Governor of Lagos State has, prior to this time, had her name inscribed in gold in the public service having served in various capacities before taking a shot at the senatorial seat which she clinched on her first attempt.

The Ph.D. holder in Curriculum Studies from the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU) was one of the prominent members of the senate named to head various house committees by the Senate president despite being a first termer.

By virtue of her chairmanship, she is expected to oversee the oversight activities of the committee on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s team on SDGs.
