Disappointed by the complete neglect of Isolo LCDA in the proposed cabinet formation of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) in the council area, Comrade Monsuru Agbabiaka popularly known as Alagba has appealed to the governor for a reconsideration.
Agbabiaka said it is not a good decision and the marginalization speaks volume noting that it sends a negative signal to the residents of the council area who went through difficulty in the last general elections to give the party at least a nice outing.
According to him, “The seclusion of Isolo is not a good decision looking at the hurdles and sacrifices many of us made before and during the election in spite of the peculiarity of the area, we still strived more to ensure the party recorded some level top game.
“We may not have done very well in the last elections as expected due to many issues and the peculiarity of Isolo LCDA, but we stood and worked for the party and to ensure we added to the pool of votes recorded.
“It is painful that all our effort has seemingly amounted to nothing as none of our people is considered for any appointment in the Lagos Cabinet Formation,” he said.
He went on to call on the State leadership of the party to consider that Isolo is not secluded in the scheme of things so as to motivate the people who believe in the party as he humbly appealed to Governor Sanwo-Olu to reconsider his decision.
