…Chair Says 3,000 People Benefitted With More Interventions Coming For Next 6 Months

As succour to the residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA in the face of the hardship triggered by the stoppage of fuel subsidy by the federal government among other economic dips, an hardworking council chairman, Builder Olusesan Daini has distributed palliative packs to no fewer than 3,000 residents.

The palliatives, according to the council chairman is for the vulnerable residents in the council area and it will be on for the next six months.

In a post on his X account on Thursday, Daini gleefully announced: “Today, I disbursed 3,000 palliative packs from the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Food Bank Initiative to the most vulnerable residents of our community. I am pleased to announce that this intervention will run for the next six months.”

Speaking on the importance of the palliative, Daini said: “The call for the Palliative Care Programme was necessitated by the hardship our people are facing after the fuel subsidy removal.

“We understand the situation of things and we have initiated this Programme to show the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA that we care about them and we are ready to support them.”

Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA is a leading light amongst council areas in the state with its empathic Food Bank Initiative to their residents through the distribution of Food and cash endowment among others that is expected to last for six months.

This initiative is to complement the efforts of the federal and state governments in the post-subsidy era.
