The Coordinator of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye local branch, Comrade Adigun Ibrahim might have spoken the minds of youths in the country as he listed their demands to the president.
Adigun, while speaking on Lagos Television’s Owuro Lawa, on Wednesday, as monitored by Theliberationnews, tasked the president on good governance that will sustainably put the country on the pedestals of all-round advancement.
Tabling the youths’ specific demands, Adigun urged President Tinubu to open up employment opportunities and support their innovations and ingenuity describing these as the basic things they need.
Adigun, who doubles as the committee chairman of the forthcoming Lagos West Award did not fail to acknowledge Tinubu’s impressive start to life as the 16th president of the country but reminded the president of the popular saying that “the reward of hard work is more work,” as he added that the future of the country and her teeming youths are in his hands.
His words: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has, indeed, started on a good note by initiating the student loan and other policies. As youths, we want policies that will drastically reduce unemployment.
“We want him to ensure that his plans and programs are aimed at reducing the cost of living because if what we spend our little earnings on is sustenance, our growth may be delayed.”
Speaking further, Adigun harped on the need for the president to provide a support system for the youths to grow their innovations and enhanced their ingenuity and ultimately double his efforts on the security of lives and properties.
