The popular aphorism, ‘behind every successful man, there’s a woman,’ has serious truism embedded in it as Senator (Mrs) Oluremi Tinubu,CON, resumed on Monday, her well deserved position of Nigeria’s First Lady. That was the crowning glory of her hard work and support for her dotting husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Mrs Tinubu, a former First Lady of Lagos State and outgoing senator of Lagos Central Senatorial District arrived at the First Lady’s wing in the company of her security aides in the early hours of the day.
On hand to receive her was the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Mr Tijjani Umar and other Heads of Units in the First Lady’s Office.

She was subsequently taken on a tour of the offices within the First Lady’s wing such as the Administrative, ICT, Catering, Media and Protocol Units.
The 62-year-old Oluremi Tinubu was born on Sept. 21, 1960, to Itsekiri’s mother and Yoruba’s father.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Ife and has undertaken several courses in some higher institutions.
Right from her time as the First Lady of Lagos, Mrs Tinubu carried out many philanthropic and legacy projects to complement the efforts of her husband, the state and federal governments in rising to the needs of the residents.
As her husband holds sway as the president, Mrs. Tinubu will be the First Lady of the country; the first former Senator to be the mother of the nation.
