High-ranking members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who formed the famous G-5 group on Thursday visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The group which comprised four former governors and Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde arrived at the State House at about 4:21 pm and proceeded straight to the President’s office where they met with him behind closed doors.
It was gathered that apart from Seyi Makinde, other former governors, who are members of the G-5 at the meeting are Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.
The reason for their visitation could not be confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
Wike’s visit with the group makes it the third time he has visited the State House about three times in one week.
The G-5 governors, during the presidential election, worked went all out against the candidate of their party, Atiku Abubakar.
