Former governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, is currently in the custody of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged misappropriation of funds during his time as governor.
Theliberatiionnews reliably gathered that the former governor subjected himself to interrogation when he reported to the Ilorin office of the anti-graft agency today.
It was gathered that Dr Fayemi arrived at the EFCC facility at about 10 am on Thursday and was grilled over issues of corruption while serving as governor of Ekiti State
A source said he was questioned over allegations of N4 billion misappropriation during his tenure as governor of Ekiti.
Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesman for the anti-graft agency did not deny the report when he was contacted. He simply said: “The fact is that we are not granting an interview over the matter.”
