The bad eggs in the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) were seen at their best again, this time around at Abule Egba Overhead bridge area of Lagos State as they forcefully confiscated a motorcycle and cruelly brutalized the bike man.
The condemnable act was brazenly perpetuated by some unscrupulous policemen in the early hours of Wednesday. They brutalized the bike man just because they wanted to seize his bike. The way and manner the wicked men in police uniforms went about it, hitting the biker with the heavy exhaust of the bike with blood oozing out, only point to one fact: Those policemen don’t deserve to be in the force in this contemporary age. After all, the solution to illegality is not barbarity. Savaging an unarmed citizen in such manner is not part of peace and adherence to law enforcement.
The obviously injured and helpless poor commercial bike man was seen preventing the confiscation as his bike which possibly is his only source of livelihood at this biting period.
This despicable act has since attracted condemnations from various angles.
An eyewitness who described the police officers as “beasts” remarked that “What Seun Kuti did is wrong. But who wouldnt when faced with these beasts in police uniforms. They don’t deserve sympathies from any human!”
