Ramon Adedoyin, Osun businessman and hotelier has been condemned to death by hanging over the murder of a student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Mr. Timothy Adegoke.
While delivering the judgment on Monday, Justice Adepele Ojo, also ordered that the children of the late Adegoke must be given scholarships to university level from the estate belonging to the convicted businessman.
Recall that Timothy Adegoke, a Chartered Accountant with an Abuja-based company, had arrived at Adedoyin’s hotel, in preparation for his examination as Masters of Business Administration student of the OAU in 2021.
Timothy, a father of two who hailed from Eruwa in Oyo state, was however unreachable again after checking into the Hilton Hotel owned by Adedoyin. His bloodied remains were however discovered in a shallow grave in a forest not far away from the hotel by men of the Osun command of the Nigerian Police Force.
Others who were dragged to court over the murder include Adedeji Adesola, Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem and Adebayo Kunle.
