Children in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Lagos were on Saturday treated to a memorable experience in commemoration of this year’s Children’s Day Celebration.
The event organized by Ilupeju Youth Forum featured a series of exciting activities such as bouncy castle, face painting competitions and games, among others.
Speaking at the event, the coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye local branch; the umbrella body for youth organisations in the council area, Comrade Adigun Ibrahim, lauded the convener of the group, Comrade Olayinka Dolapo Faruq popularly known as ODF organiser for putting up such event for the children at no cost.
He added that the memory of this year’s celebration will forever be with the children.
Turning to the children, Adigun reminded them that they are the future of the nation as he admonished them against social vices and immortality.
He urged them to always respect their parents and elderly as commanded by God and also, face their academics squarely to achieve good grades.
