An alumnus of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Hassan AbdulSalam, has been selected to join 12 other international Young Reporters to participate in the Young Reporters Programme (YRP) and cover the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games in China.
By way of his selection, Abdusalam who graduated from MAPOLY in 2021 and now reports for Pulse Sports Nigeria will not only be flying Nigeria’s flag but Africa-at-large while also becoming the second Nigerian to achieve the feat.
The announcement was made on Friday by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) ahead of the FISU Young Reporters Programme (YRP) billed for July 28 to August 8, 2023.

As gathered by Theliberationnews, the programme is a partnership between YISU and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), and it will afford Hassan and other the opportunity to make real-time coverage of the competition through daily recaps, features articles, social media content and television interviews consequently broadening their knowledge and deepening their experience in journalism.
Speaking with Pulse Sports Nigeria, AbdulSalam expressed how honored he felt to have been selected.
