Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been sworn in as the governor of Lagos State for the second term.

The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba on Monday administered the oath of office and oath of allegiance on Sanwo-Olu at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

The oath-taking ceremony signaled the commencement of the governor’s second four-year term in office.

Earlier, the deputy governor of the state, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, took his Oath of Office as Deputy Governor for his second term in office.

Recall, Sanwo-Olu won his reelection in March having polled 762,134 votes to defeat his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, who polled 312,329 votes. The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olajide Adediran, came third with 62,449 votes.
