As contained in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP has also ordered a thorough and speedy investigation into the incident to determine the underlying cause of the assault.

The statement added that the suspect will be prosecuted according to the findings of the investigation.

Reacting to the incident, on Instastory, a social media platform on Saturday, Seun said the officer attempted to harm him and his family, adding that the policeman had since apologised and he had forgiven him.

“He tried to kill me and my family. I have the proof, but I’m not seeking attention. He has apologised, and I have agreed not to press charges. Please mind your business and ensure the poor guy doesn’t lose his job,” Seun said.

Speaking further, Seun promised to give his maximum cooperation to the investigation as he called on the IG to ensure anyone involved in the fracas should not be spared

“I welcome the investigation and will give my full cooperation. I also pray to the IG that whoever is wrong should be indicted,” he said.
