Quelling reports of confusion in the party over zoning of the leadership of the national assembly, the National Working Committee NWC of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has settled for a zoning template for the position of principal officers of the 10th National Assembly.
In a press statement issued by the NWC after a meeting on Monday in Abuja, Senator Godswill Akpabio from Akwa-Ibom (South-South), was announced as the party’s choice for Senate Presidency.
Others are “Deputy Senate President – North West-Senator Barau Jubrin (Kano, North West).
“Speaker, House of Representatives North West-Hon. Abbas Tajudeen (Kaduna, North-West).
“Deputy Speaker South East-Hon. Ben Kalu (Abia, South-East)”.
“We urge our party leaders, members and all Nigerians to continue to work for peace and progress of our country during and beyond the current period of leadership transition,” the statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, read.
